We love these waffles!

Imagine a crisp fall morning, pumpkin, spices, delicious sweet waffles… all of that is wrapped up in this recipe. It will transport you to the perfect fall moment.

You may not think of waffles as a “healthy” food, but we take it to a whole new level adding over 20grams of protein to each waffle serving. We don’t believe in completely omitting the foods we love (read about that HERE at Our Diet and Why We Chose It). Instead, we change our favorites to a more healthy version.

These “Fall All Year Long Waffles” are perfect for your sweet-tooth, or for a post workout snack. These waffles are so delicious that we don’t even put anything on them, nothing except whip cream! We eat them as a meal with a side of eggwhite and veggie scrambled eggs. Throw in some Turkey Bacon and you are ready to rock! Or eat them alone, they are hearty enough.

16oz Pumpkin Spice Pancake Mix

6oz Dark Cocoa chocolate chips

15oz Natural Pure Pumpkin Puree

1oz Pumpkin Pie Spice (less if it is not diluted, use your judgement)

2oz Raw Honey

1 1/2 cup of water

100grams of your favorite Vanilla Protein Powder

Combine the ingredients in a large bowl. Consistency may be thick, but that is ok… you can always thin it. Bust out your waffle iron and preheat it to its specifications. Be sure to use some pan spray so the waffles don’t stick.

Add enough batter to your waffle iron to make a proper full size waffle. Cook waffles according to the directions of your waffle pan.

Suggested addins- pumpkin instant oatmeal, chopped nuts.

Top with whip cream!
